Parking at Bedfont Lakes

If you are flying from Heathrow Airport, it is possible to park your car at IBM Bedfont Lakes. The only thing you have to do is to report to Bedfont Security giving your name, personnel number, your car number and your return date, together with some proof that you are an IBM Retiree Member.

You can then get to the airport by taxi. One of our members has used a 'taxi' firm on IBM's books called Bedfont Business Cars. The owner, Simon, is an IBM Business Partner with his own IBM Security Card, (which some of us might envy!!) and he does a great deal of work with IBM in the London area.

His regular charges are in line with other local taxi firms but Simon said he will give Retirees a 20% discount over his regular rates if you use BBC for going to and from the terminal. The process is that you book an BBC car to collect you from the Bedfont car park and take you to your terminal. On your return the BBC driver will be waiting for you at your terminal Arrivals Point and you will be taken back to Bedfont to where your car is parked. It makes it a very easy transfer.

Simon can be reached via :-

Another member has used a firm called Lakes - telephone 020 8561 2643 - and has found them reliable, and courteous and use modern cars.

So with free parking on a security managed site it is very good value for any period more than a couple of days.

Not city centre but only 6 tube stations away and only two stations from Wembley. It's at Harrow on the Hill, town centre in the Queens Building and is just across the road from the tube station. It is open 24x7 so London theatre land is OK and it is already well known to Wembley Park regulars so avoid match days. Off the M40/A40 follow signs for Harrow then for Harrow on the Hill. As you approach the town watch for signs to the big St George and St Anns carparks, as you near these the Queens Building long stay is signposted. You pay as you enter so have change ready.
