October 2006 Newsletter
Editorial
After a very pleasant buffet lunch at a hotel in Clevedon, 41 members and guests visited the National Trust property at Tyntesfield. We were very fortunate that the weather was excellent as it is quite a walk, albeit an attractive one, from the coach park to the property but it was certainly well worth it when we got there. This was a most interesting day out and our thanks to Ray for organising this event. If any members plan to visit Tyntesfield under their own steam, they should note that there is timed entry to the house and that the only refreshment facilities are at the reception centre near the car and coach parks.
The final two this year are the Indian meal on 23rd November and the annual Christmas lunch on 20th December. Details of the Christmas lunch together with a booking form appear later in this Newsletter.
And finally this month, the Committee would like to thank all members who responded to our request for feedback on the proposed programme of events for 2007. Obviously we can't meet all your requests but those that don't make it this time will be well up the list for 2008.
