Editorial
The trip to the West Coast of Scotland was very succcessful and thoroughly enjoyed by 40 members and guests. The weather was excellent which no doubt helped! Many thanks to Tony Mancell and Simon Barratt for all their hard work.

SUMMER LUNCHEON - Wednesday 9th June 2010 (organiser Carole Robertson)
The Summer Luncheon this year will be held at The Oak, Stratford Road [A34}, Hockley Heath - 01564 785252 , web site www.theoakathockleyheath.co.uk. Weather permitting we plan to meet on the patio at 12.00 for welcome drinks and have a three-course meal with wine at 1.00 in the back restaurant.
As we had such a successful luncheon in 2009 at The Oak, we have decided to return there this year. The food as you will see from the attached menu and booking form is very tempting and we have managed to keep to last year's price of £25 per head for members and first guests.

Starter
S1 - Masala roasted salmon and prawn fishcake, wilted spinach poached egg, coriander hollandaise
S2 - Chicken liver parfait, Melba toast, plum chutney
S3 - Roast crotin goat's cheese, rolled in hazelnut, chilli almonds, sweet and sour onions
S4 - Lemon, green chilli and yoghurt marinated chicken skewers, Bombay potato salad, mint dressing
Main Course
M1 - Roast rump of lamb, char-grilled Mediterranean vegetables, piccata sauce, garlic roasted new potatoes
M2 - Breast of free-range chicken, fondant potato, creamed wild mushrooms, spinach
M3 - Arancini balls [pumpkin risotto, stuffed with halloumi] smooth pipperade, rocket, shaved Parmesan
M4 - Fish special [Chef choice of fresh fish of the day]
M5 - Confit of duck, honey glaze, bok choy, ginger spring onions, sesame roasted new potatoes
Dessert
P1 - Tiramisu, homemade shortbread
P2 - Baked vanilla cheesecake, Summer berries
P3 - Plum and apple crumble, vanilla ice cream
P4 - Chocolate and peanut butter tart, mango sorbet
P5 - Selection of Henley ice creams and sorbets

Warner 3 night break at Nidd Hall, Yorkshire, Friday 8 to Monday 11 October 2010
We have a limited number of rooms for a 3 night Warner Break at Nidd Hall near Harrogate. Nidd Hall is a 4 star hotel in a Grade II listed buiding in 45 acres of parkland on the edge of the Dales

NOTE This will be a self drive trip as no coach is planned
