We are organising a virtual Christmas Party Lunch using Zoom. The menu will be for you to decide, prepare and cook.
To accompany the lunch we will be offering to deliver you a subsidised Christmas parcel during the week before the lunch. The parcel will contain:
The club is subsidising this by 40% so it will cost you only £24. One of the committee will personally deliver this parcel to you on an agreed day and time before the lunch. Alternatively we will post it to you if you live further away from the local area. If you don’t want the hamper you will still of course be more than welcome to join us.
The latest version of Zoom (version 5.3.0 or higher) has a facility known as ‘breakout rooms’. This allows us to set up breakout rooms so that during the meal you can get together in smaller groups, making conversation easier; you can swap from one room to another as you want and will be able to see who is in each room. Information about how to connect to the Zoom session will be sent out nearer the time.
Please complete the attached booking form and return it to Ray Bradshaw by Sunday 29th November. Please send in the booking form even if you don’t want the hamper so that we know how many people will be joining us and can send you the required information for connecting to the Zoom session.

IBM Retirees PC and Technology Group
The IBM Tech Club meets using the Zoom video conferencing platform at 11.00 on the third Friday of each month. The next meeting scheduled for the 20th of November will feature live unboxing of the new Raspberry Pi 400 personal computer by John Rickman. Technology is something that affects all of us. You do not have to be a member of the Tech club to join our meeting. All Midlands Retiree Club members are welcome to tune in.
