E2003TRITriumph Motorcycle Factory Tour, Wednesday 18th March 2020
Organiser: Richard Short

We are proposing a visit to the new Triumph Motorcycles Factory in Hinkley, Leicestershire, on the morning of Wednesday March 18th 2020.

We need an expression of interest as soon as possible, as we can’t book provisional dates, we have to book and pay for the tour up front.

There will be a 1.5 hour factory tour, there is a Café where you can buy lunch, and there is a large exhibition area with many old and historic Triumph motorcycles, including the one ridden by Steve McQueen in the “Great Escape” which was recently featured in a programme on TV with Guy Martin.

Triumph recommend that you allow 3 hours for the factory tour and exhibition area.

Some details of the tour and exhibition can be found here

This is a self-drive event, and the tour of the factory requires you to be on your feet for 1.5 hours, the walking distance is not long and there many points where you stop while things are explained.

The cost will be £15 for members and first guest, and £20 for additional guests.

Please send your expression of interest a.s.a.p to Richard Short

As soon as we confirm that we have enough people to run the event then we will book it and you will be requested to pay the full event cost.

IBM Retirees PC and Technology Group (founded by Harry Green)

The IBM Retirees PC and Technology Group meets every alternate month for a lively discussion on PC and technology topics in the digital age. There are usually one or two specific presentations given by members or by outside speakers, which the members of the Group have requested. We try to provide a reasonable balance between PC “techie” topics, new technology, and topics of a more general nature such as digital television, Internet telephony and digital photography. So whether you are a newcomer to the PC or a more experienced user, we hope you will find something of interest. You are very welcome to join us.
