This will be one of two possible plays at the Loft amateur Theatre in Leamington - depending on popularity.

1. Running between 21 Feb and 2 Mar. “Translations”
   A man returns to his Irish speaking community in Donegal, accompanied by two British army officers. Their ambition is to create a map of the area, replacing Gaelic names with English and, in a rural hedge-school, to replace the Irish classes with English as the official language. This all had radical consequences.
    
2. Running between 27 Mar and 6 Apr. “Spring Awakening”
   Musical play based on an expressionist play written in 1891, it speaks with a loud contemporary clarity about the trials, pain, tears, and exhilaration of the teen years. It tells a story of adolescent anarchy and the rite of passage to adulthood, set to one of the most electrifying and admired scores of the 21st century. A group of teenagers – silenced and controlled by a censorius society - discover a new world of feeling and freedom outside the classroom, with both beautiful and heartbreaking consequences.

Chedham's Yard is a collection of workshops, garden and visitor centre located in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire. The site was the winner of the BBC Restoration Village competition in 2006. Planning permission was granted in November 2009 for the yard to become a visitor and education centre.
