Annual General Meeting
This year’s AGM will be held on Monday 14 August 2023 at 11:00am using Zoom.
Connection details will be advised in the July newsletter.

E2306PPL: Pete’s Place Thursday 1st June 2023
In spite of the rather disappointing weather in the morning, eighteen car loads of people arrived at Pete’s Place this year; a slight reduction from the normal twenty odd of previous years. The sun decided to put its hat on at around one o’clock and a very pleasant afternoon was enjoyed with boat and train rides in beautiful surroundings.

E2307ABR: Summer Visit to Batsford Arboretum, Friday 14th July Organiser: Ray Bradshaw
Following the successful visit to Batsford Arboretum during the autumn of 2021 we are arranging a summer visit this year on Friday 14th July at 11 a.m.
There is no discount for group bookings so could you make your own online booking on the Batsford Arboretum website for the 11 a.m. to 11.30 starting time slot. The concessions cost is £8.95 with gift aid (£8.10 without). There is no need to complete a club booking form but can you let Ray know that you plan to come so we can meet up near the arboretum entrance and go around in 3 or 4 groups. You may wish to get there earlier to have a coffee before starting the tour at 11 a.m.
After touring the arboretum we can have lunch on the terrace of their restaurant. After lunch there will be plenty of time to visit the garden centre and shop.
E2309GWR: Gloucester Warwickshire Steam Railway Organiser: Paul Gover
It transpired that the Gloucester Warwickshire Steam Railway were fully booked for all the Fish and Chip “Cheltenam Fryer” trips this year. We are now investigating a possible group trip on the GWSR in September, with time for a meal at one end or the other.

It is hoped to organise occasional rambles with options so that participants can choose a length of walk to suit them.

The IBM Tech Club meets using the Zoom video conferencing platform at 11.00 on the third Friday of each month. The club is a place where you can talk to IBM folk about matters technical. For example, help or advice on buying or using computers, smart phones,touch pads; engineering, electronics, wifi, bluetooth, cryptography, bitcoin, using computers to making movies, songs or musical works, best software, streaming, the internet, photography, diy, and anything else about the modern world you would like to understand better.
Apart from the technical discussion we try to have a talk by a club member at each meeting. This depends very much on members volunteering to prepare and show something they are interested in.
