Planning for 2020 Retiree Club Events

We would like to hear from you regarding the type of events you would like us to organise for you next year. To this end we will shortly be sending you a survey and will be pleased to receive your responses. We have found that the Spring, Summer and Xmas lunches are always popular and would like your views on several other types of event which will be shown in the survey.

During this year we have unfortunately had to cancel several events we had planned due to lack of interest so this survey should help us focus on planning the type of events you really enjoy.

Event report: E1907SUM Summer Lunch & River Cruise

34 Retirees enjoyed an excellent buffet lunch and river cruise on the Countess of Evesham. The weather was kind to us, allowing us to enjoy the scenery, especially at Luddington Lock, where we were able to explore for 15 minutes.

We were welcomed aboard with a choice of Pimms or a non-alcoholic fruit punch, followed by the main buffet course on the way downriver to Luddington. On the return to Stratford we had a choice of several delicious desserts and cheese & biscuits, followed by tea and coffee.

Photos from the day can be seen in the Club’s Dropbox folder.

IBM Retirees PC and Technology Group (founded by Harry Green)

The IBM Retirees PC and Technology Group meets every alternate month for a lively discussion on PC and technology topics in the digital age. There are usually one or two specific presentations given by members or by outside speakers, which the members of the Group have requested. We try to provide a reasonable balance between PC “techie” topics, new technology, and topics of a more general nature such as digital television, Internet telephony and digital photography. So whether you are a newcomer to the PC or a more experienced user, we hope you will find something of interest. You are very welcome to join us.
